if they count December its gotta have the most points.
I Am, is crazy though its still in the top 10 in instiz...after taking all comers from the beginning of April on.

which is why I'm often puzzled at all the award shows and how they calc points and whatnot since it obviously benefits those that release earlier

Gaon aka circle used to do a rolling count of i think 30 days from when a song was released for song of the Year(for that month) and something similar for the quarter winners.

but releasing late hurts
Take a song like Russian roulette(sept release) its numbers are spread over 2 years so its takes several years down teh road to see is was strong.
but a july release for Red Flavor was enough time to make it feel strong in the year.
