FUN FACT: A real-life person who lives and breathes and has feelings and a life isn't ideal for the idol life.
Because they CANNOT be controlled. What if they previously experimented with smoking or drinking?
What if they PREVIOUSLY had a partner?
What if, and hear me out-they end up FALLING IN LOVE!?!?!

OH NO IMPOSSIBLE! UNFATHOMABLE!

I rest my case-AI idols can be controlled.
They can NEVER upset the fans that think idols shouldn't have lives outside of Kpop.



It also increases the delulu due to them thinking they have a chance with these real idols-now they MIGHT actually have a chance
with these non-human AI beings.

Unless standards change in regards to what is normalized within the Kpop industry I don't see things improving for ACTUAL idols. Which sadly, just increases the likelihood that AI idols will come to the forefront due to them being "perfect" and not wanting a life outside of their job.

True-but there is already a decline in people wanting to be Kpop idols. Obviously, I'm getting my information from a sleazy news site BUT I guess there has been a noticeable decline in people wanting to become kpop idols. I don't see things changing unless what is normalized changes AKA not hating idols for having a life.

Culture changes. The demand that idols have to be squeaky clean, apolitical and able to perform to clinical perfection isn't necessarily something that should be considered a constant.

For the parasocial aspect, group dynamics are important and the suspension of disbelief cannot be there if everything is simulated.

For the music aspect, maybe the AI can create dumb bops and generic ballads, (which admittedly covers most of kpop} but it wouldn't be able to move people the way a song like Magic Shop does, because it is impossible for most people to convince themselves that an AI is sincere.

But I could be wrong.

I unfortunately have to agree. After seeing so many recent cases in kpop, humans cannot be controlled yet fans and companies want the ability to control. I also think AI will become better in the sense that we can’t tell they’re AI

Like IITERNITI was created with Deep Real technology, and MAVE: and naevis are both combinations of AI, though I can't find the specific AI technology they used confirmed anywhere. (Though MAVE: is owned by a technology company like IITERNITI is, so maybe it's their own in-house thing. And naevis is assumed to be a mix of aespa.) So I thought Plave was a bit different in that they just have a virtual front representing a real person for each of the members.

plave is NOT ai, everything about them is human made, technology, mocap animations, music, vocals, choreo, everything like an irl group but behind the faces of virtual avatars.
