Jackson honestly has been so problematic since his debut... he just keep apologizing and never learn from his stupidity.. now all the other got7 members getting hate because of him..

Being quiet leaves room for discussion about you disagreeing. The celebs are often told almost word for word what they have to post.

It is a choice between obeying the government or not promoting in china again.
it is a choice between making that post or you and your family getting threats from the chinese general public

The chinese government has made other BIG celebs and businessmen "disappear" before.

Being quiet would mean disagreeing and that doesn't lead to good things. Doing nothing means you disagree, nothing good comes from that.

They basically took the biggest actress in the country off the street, held her for 3+ months, took all her money and, she came out and thanked them and apologized.

They're told what to say. If you look at all the messages that these celebrities have sent, they are almost identical word for word. I doubt that it is their real opinion.

I don't think Jackson would actively try and betray his own country. He needs to promote in China - it's where he is the most well known. If he doesn't do what the government says, he wont be allowed to promote there and his presence in China would be completely lost.

No idol is willingly involved in this kind of politics but rather get involved by others, Public pressure and of course political pressure makes them take a side whether they like it or not. I remember Tzuyu's case very well and still makes me really sad and embarrased.

I do not even like twice or follow them, but that video is hard to watch. Still will not forgive jyp for that. it was wrong to do that to a kid. she was what a high school freshman..... sad.

I am wondering do the politicians force them to show this on social media? What if the idol stay silent about these matters will they be exiled.... I read what happened to Fan BingBing they held her hostage for 3 months just for tax invasion.... ? She probably did something else that pissed them off but because she is a huge celebrity they brushed it off as a tax invasion... This is what happens to a huge star imagine how they treat the average person then... Scary..
