Why do you think, on average, bg tend to last longer than gg. Take for instance how many bg exist compared to gg from 2nd Gen. Consider how Suju, FTISLAND, 2PM, Big Bang, Highlight, Shinee, and others are still quasi-active, while some 2nd gen and prior gg tend to be either disbanded or inactive.

because bgs can do one concept for 10 years and their fangirls wont get bored of that shit but when do ggs do one concept for 2 years they get called out for being boring and uncreative.

One of them is ageism, men are said to become more attractive the older they get
But when a female Idol hits 25 she is ancient, bc fans expect them to be young and to look youthful

I think it's because of all of the horrible, toxic, heavy backlash from anti-fans regarding everything all girl groups do tends to weigh heavily on some members' psyche and emotions, so they end up quitting the industry entirely, moving onto acting, or do solo music projects, if the desire is still there to continue with the same or another label.

As Magician also said ~ Ageism ~ That's why there's the '7-year curse' stigma that surrounds girl groups because the majority(?) of fans seem to move onto new, young rookie groups.

I guess because most ggs attract a male fanbase and they are unloyal as members get older. Then again I don't think ggs with a fanbase mostly consisting of females would last too long either. Maybe it has something to do with women's nature and priorities too, that they tend to want to settle down earlier than guys.

i mean at the end of the day it's all about who brings more money to the companies and usually in the kpop industry girl groups make songs adored by the general public and boy groups may not have any hit songs chart-wise but they have a stable fandom that's big enough to keep them going. and then there's misogyny that's alive and well in the entertainment industry...
