I sort of relate.. sort of. When I was younger I had more feminine gender expressiveness, but around the time I came out [as gay] I was more masculine in some people's eyes. To the point where my existence challenged the stereotype of the effiminate gay man that my family held was true for all gay men.. Although, my family doesn't really understand gender identity..

When I first sort of came out at 15 to my sister she thought that I just needed a "butch" girlfriend to even out my more feminine traits... But what are you gonna do. It was 2008 and being gay was barely accepted, so...
