Why is the age 18 such a big deal, really??? (1 Viewer)

The number seems extremely arbitrary to me. Is it proven that the brain stops growing at that age, or that something magical or specific happens when one turns 18???
I'm pretty sure not. Then if the COVID vaccine may be dangerous to people under 18, idk how it could be different to those above that age. I'm not an anti-vaxxer, I just don't understand this logic. Idk how finishing high school suddenly makes you eligible for everything.

Tbh, neither did I grow much after turning 13, nor did I feel any special level of maturity or anything else happening once I became 18. I find it so ridiculous.
