it depends on the person and circumstances I feel and how poor we are talking. There's a difference between poverty than making just enough to get by.

100% agree with this. Money makes a big difference, but I know some people who are really poor, yet really happy in life despite that.

A few of my close friends who I met at uni grew up quite wealthy (one is from the Channel Islands and her father is an executive at an offshore bank worth about ~$10M while my other friend's father owns several mines in Namibia and South Africa and is worth ~$40M) and they were never able to 'buy' their way to happiness because they were raised like normal people. So many wealthy people that weren't raised like this fall into a trap of being able to buy all of their desires in life before looking around and realizing that they are miserable.

Having money eliminates a lot of the problems that you face as a poor person, but as you solve one problem you create another.
