Nope, just playing this game and suffering like everyone else wasn't masochistic enough for me. I've tried playing the original (not the 'remastered') version with mouse and keyboard - because I had no game controller at that time.



Later I got a visit from Bear Grylls. He wanted to climb down the bite marks I left in my desk.

I don't know what to do with games that have one save file and auto save constantly for you. Locked into your bad choices!

I always do that since I usually have a certain view of how I want my playthrough to go unless I'm going in totally blind then I will just play the game.

For example I did an interaction in FFX that locked me out of an item so I'm restarting that

i used to do this with pokemon saves a lot when i was a kid, like if i didn't like the nickname i gave to my pokemon ... nowadays i don't really reset games entirely, although i am guilty of save scumming for minor reasons (say, if i accidentally trigger a cutscene/story progression before i finished exploring an area :P)

Animal Crossing just lends itself to it. That initial build up is more satisfying to me than trying to hunt down the last handful of things is.
