Are there any words that you pronounce differently than others?

For me its:

• Strawberries: I say Straw-Buh-Reeze which when said normally comes across as straw-breeze.
• Schism: I've noticed that a lot of people say it sk-ism, but I say Shism
• Leisure: Most people correct me when I say Leh-sure instead of Leesure

We just add a 'o' after everything, as Australians do!

lol. Where I'm from a lot of people confuse Australian accents with British ones. But I did have a British grandmother and I watched H20 Just add water when I was 19, so I can tell the difference

I have a half british/half australian grandmother.

Over in the US unless you have recent ancestors who immigrated then you are like 10 different ethnicities. Like my parents were British/Irish and Polish/French respectively.. but there's plenty of people who are like Irish/German/French/Swedish and bits of Italian and Greek dating back to their 6 times great grandparent lol..

In Yorkshire, we don’t say the word ‘the’. We just sort of add a t to the end of the word before ‘the’, and then carry on to the next word. We also say words like town, down, barn with an ‘ah’ in the middle, so they become tahn, dahn and bahn.

I struggle to pronounce “specifically” correctly so it just comes out more like “pacifically”

That's how I say strawberries too
But I think everyone says it that way here at least

I say all the words this way too except our, I pronounce it the same as are.

i used to say it like that but when i wrote it i confused myself so i say it like that now

No, I live in the northeast US. I moved when I was a baby and have been here ever since

Nope, I have one grandma who’s orthodox and is pressuring me to become a Christian of some form but the rest of my family isn’t religious.

Some grandparents can be extremely pressurable. My grandfather, even though my mother isn't religious, basically forced my brother to be baptized. lol

Yeah, thankfully she lives in Germany, so there's only so much pressuring that she can do
