so we really aren't seeing any popular groups that are coming out of the west, all groups that have come out have flopped. so would they do better if they did the things that kpop groups do? for example, auditioning for companies and having them train you for a certain amount of time. tbh I dont rlly know if it would work or not but it's interesting to think about.

Little Mix were the It Girls before BP came along since the Salute album came out (2015) tbh.

And also, they are trained to be "complete idols", to have talents in several fields and please the young Korean public but also to serve as role models , which go a little above the criteria of the American market.

tbh little mix are really only popular in the uk, thats still the west but they havent had a real hit in years. thats mostly due to bad promotion and mistreatment from their company so i dont really blame them.

yeah I get that tbh, but i think that it might work if they just incorporated small parts and ideas in western groups.

I don’t think the groups need to become more like kpop. During the late ‘90’s/early 00’s, pop groups ruled the charts, then bands took over. Now in the west it seems to be soloists that are the most popular. Music goes round in cycles, so your classic pop band will become popular again one day, that day just isn’t now.
