It’s called herring under a fur coat (selotka pod shuba). It has beets, boiled eggs, potatoes, mayonnaise, and salted herring and sometimes other additions as well, such as carrots.

Shrimp is okay if it’s small and has less strong of a taste, lobster is nasty.

I would eat it, actually! I was exposed to odd foods extremely young (think toddler age), so I quickly learned to love them. Plus, beets have always been my favorite veggie!
