It's funny having been into kpop for so long and being able to keep track of all but the nuguest of the nugus, and now it's like, how is there a group this popular who I can't name one song of?

I found a thread made only 1 week ago with more recent data, they combined korean and japanese sales as far as I can tell (this does not include Aespes newest release, so they are ~900k short here)

It's funny having been into kpop for so long and being able to keep track of all but the nuguest of the nugus, and now it's like, how is there a group this popular who I can't name one song of?

I was gonna comment the same thing. Not to derail the thread but I'm very surprised that Epex are a million seller. I'm guessing it could be a case where they have a sizeable fanbase in Korea itself and it hasn't translated into the wider k-pop fanbase, which I think is a better scenario than having a huge international base but little Korean support.
They have this song called cyanide that I quite like. They've also had some good title tracks here and there. Epex are definitely a group that we should hear about more.

Back in second gen, even if you didn't care for any of the large groups, there weren't THAT many groups on the scene either, so you'd definitely know SNSD, Big Bang, 2NE1, etc. whether you particularly cared to or not.

That's all I was doing: just contrasting experience over the gens.
