it's probably because it's twitter, but like people were sending her so much hate: death threats, demands for a handwritten apology (with tears and all), etc

like it even started trending on naver, what else do you want

but tbh I'm not too surprised that jimin would get a bunch of rumours made about her since she was an ulzzang and people tend to target them the most

from the knetz comments I've seen they divide into 2 camps: camp a is "wow she's really pretty" and camp b is "wow she can't dance and is ugly and is problematic" lmao

apparently they even mistranslated it from “not that handsome/attractive” to ugly ;-; Though I don’t know Korean so idk how accurate the translations are
