I do Especially this morning

I was getting things done this morning and the first thing my mom says to me is :
“I may be getting a goat.”
Now, lemme explain why this frustrated me so you can hopefully see from my POV. My mom has her “own” pets, a bird, 3 dogs, 2 cats and fish, she also says that the chickens are both of ours so… But the thing is, most of her animals care falls on my shoulders a lot of the time, which is why I did not want her to get a goat because, as much as I love our chickens I am the only one who takes care of them because she doesn’t like doing things in bad weather so I knew I’d get stuck with taking care of the goat.

I also feel like she was just jumping for the chance to get a cute new pet when we don’t even have a shelter, food, grooming tools for the goat and whatever else you need for them.

Anyways, I think I was able to convince her not to get it (hopefully). I feel like it makes me sound selfish but she understood where I was coming from, but she could always still get it because when she has her eyes on a cute animal she doesn’t usually give up until she gets it.

I have a lot to learn in terms of responsibility, organization, etc., I'm just a mess

Once some years ago I texted my mom I wished I could be as hardworking as her, and she texted back "At least you're cuter than me" or smth along those lines about at least I'm cute

Oof that would really hurt my feelings if my mom said something like that to me.

my mom pretends she doesn't speak english and makes me speak on behalf of her. it's stressful because i'm introverted af like why are you making me talk to people when i don't like talking to people?
