Do any of the big 3 have trainee debt? I didn’t think that did. And not all in the big 3 are that rich

that's what i was saying, big 3 usually don't have ... or they pay it off really fast cause the groups usually get instant fame.
I know not all trainees are rich, i mean COME ON , give me more credit to not generalize hundreds of ppl. I just meant to say that kids from influential families tend to audition to companies with higher rates of success. There is always exception to the rule.

From what I could find out, the big 3 and HYBE do not.. but its hard to find anything concrete on it tbh and its also hard to tell how the other companies are handling it

I got hate form other Onces for not agreeing with their hateful things they said about BP Luckily this was a rare occurence, but crazy and evil pepole are in all fandoms!

My dumb brain inserted a “just” which made me think you were saying that big companies always did have a debt
And maybe, I feel like it more has to do with rich families being able to afford better training. But I’ve never gotten the impression that idols from rich families are a large portion of the idols who have debuted at any company compared to idols who aren’t from rich families. But there also isn’t info on all of them ig.

It did seem like some smaller and even very small companies don’t/didn’t have trainee debt (such as RBW I think). But it’s hard to know for sure since most idols don’t talk about it.

I would love to see verifiable statistics on how much actually gets paid back. I think the vast majority of it goes away because so few actually debut but I still don't think it's fair to make any child worry about paying something like that back.

I doubt we’ll ever get that info. It would probably look bad for the companies so they’d hide it or whatever. Plus it does way depend on specific companies

nah not a huge portion, I think kpop in that regard reflectes society quite well, where you have a lot less rich people.. but there are also quite a few, more than one would think probably. Its also not a topic that is spoken much about. I think having kids from rich families in the company is pretty valuable for the agencies as they might be willing to help out if things get tough.. but ofc I'm only speculating here now!
