I hvnt read "The Fall of Gondolin", but readers say there's a Legolas in it(not same character), also Orophel his granddad was Second Age (or First Age), n Thranduil his dad was Second Age (or First Age, since he said sth abt seeing dragons). PJ made Legolas ~2900 yrs old in the films(Third Age started ~ 3000 yrs ago) but Tolkien nvr mentioned his age in any of his writings, iv only read Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, Book of Lost Tales, n HoME-6~9 only(History of LoTR) a long while ago so i chkd online for details. Im currently reading irregularly History of the Hobbit(i started either a yr ago or late last yr, but hv struggled to get past the Trolls cavern/Goblins/Eagles/Beorn-if i wasnt distracted by internet i mighta finished already).
Thingol n Luthien im unsure of timeline since i hvnt been interested in "Beren n Luthien", "Arthur" or "Fall of Gondolin". Maybe someday if/after i reread Silmarillion/Unfinished Tales/Book of Lost Tales.
I got confused between @rand n RandAl Thor. I thot u meant @rand was 6'6".(iv nvr read more than the first/few pages of Eye of The World/From the Two Rivers but i read New Springs in the Legends I anthology n some or all Jordan's Conan novels, which i retain nthg).
