1. Starry Night was the one of the first Mamamoo songs I heard, and among hundreds of other kpop songs I was trying out at the time, the only one that actually took me somewhere else with it and stretched the definition of what kpop was supposed to sound like.

2. Paint Me is my favorite kpop ballad, period. The perfect way to start the 4 Seasons project with a musical metaphor for what they were about to accomplish over the next four releases, and its transformation into the opening of their first series of 4 Seasons concerts was absolutely epic.

3. Rainy Season was not appreciated much by ifans but very successful in Korea, even without an MV or promotions to support it. It was the most mature of the songs released from this project, further cementing their popularity among the general public in SK and bringing their sound closer to what you would expect of one r&b soloist divided into four.

4. Egotistic is one of few kpop songs that manages to integrate foreign sounds in a way that respects both kpop and its international influence and produces something greater than the sum of its parts, and out of these releases, it was the song most exemplary of the season it was intended to represent.

5. Wind Flower was a bit confusing for me. I felt like there was indecision over whether this was intended to resonate with kpop fans or the general public and failed to reach either as definitively as the other title tracks. Still a great song but, for me, not even the best track on its album, which would be Morning.

6. Selfish was a simple, fun song resulting from one of kpop's great friendships between Moonbyul and Seulgi. Nothing too special here other than another bit of wackiness thrown into the mix of Red Moon and a good reminder that the albums were as much a reflection of each member's personality as they were the colors and seasons.

I haven't spent enough time with gogobebe, but if I had to guess, it would sit between Egotistic and Wind Flower.

ikr everything is just SOOO gorgeous in each of the music videos, they really went all out. I really liked Wind Flower especially because of the color grading, but Starry Night's filming location is just gorgeous, Egotistic was the death of me with all of that sexiness, and then gogobebe was really fun and quirky.

Another thing I really appreciated was that each girl got a solo song (Easy for Wheein, Selfish for Moonbyul, Hwasa got a few, only Solar I think didn't get one) and I really enjoyed all of those.

I'm really curious where Mamamoo will go from here on out, since the project is over. I can't wait for the next comeback!~ I want more Wheein.
I don't think Solar got a solo with a MV either (we could be wrong though) but she did get a solo b-side in the Blue;s album, which is her album too. In fact, Hwasa had a solo in Yellow Flower and Moonbyul's Selfish was in Red Moon too (idk if Wheein got one in White Wind though).

And I'm excited to see where they go from this too!

First off, I love your analysis of each one of these. And even though I don't totally agree with the ranking, I agree with pretty much everything you said.

Also, this is a great reminder that the title tracks were only one part of the whole project. There was so much more, like the way each was supposed to represent a season, but also a member's personality. And then the other releases (Paint Me, Rainy Season, Selfish, etc) all played a part as well. Overall I just love the whole idea of this project and I'm glad Mamamoo did it.

Oh, that makes sense then. I didn't listen to any of the albums since I haven't really had the motivation. I feel like I should because so far I've only listened to like one Mamamoo album and I'm not sure why. I like all of their title tracks but I've just never gone to check out their b-sides.

I wonder if after this they'll go back to their old funky/jazzy style or if they're gonna try something new. I really enjoyed this series though. It was really original and it brought us something new each time.

Aside from that I really hope that another member goes solo like Hwasa. I think Mamamoo is unique as a group because all of them have potential to be successful soloists. I'd hope for Wheein (because I love her voice + my bias) but I'd also really want to see what Solar or especially Moonbyul could bring to the table.

You totally should! In general, I think Mamamoo's b-sides are amazing. This is just my personal opinion, but I think my favorite b-side from the whole project was No More Drama from Blue;s. It was actually my second favorite song from the project, even ahead of the other 3 titles and Paint Me.

Also I kinda hope they return to their old sound, at least every once in a while. As great as this project was, I kinda miss that side of them too.

I'll have to check their albums out eventually, I've been delaying it for a while. And yeah, I really like their old sound too. Decalcomanie still remains my favorite Mamamoo song along with You're The Best. I really liked that side of them and I hope it makes a comeback. It was something else, such a unique concept and I'll be sad if we have to see it go.

I love all of them. Mamamoo has yet to disappoint me. I did pick gogobebe fpr the poll since the song has been constantly on my mind since the release

Wheein‘s Solo is 25 on the new album. So yes every girl got a solo song. I still think it‘s weird that Moonbyul‘s song on red moon is selfish. They could have made a new song for her.

FOUR SEASONS PROJECT
FAVORITE TITLE TRACK

Since the release of White Wind, I've been trying to figure out how I would rank the four title tracks from Mamamoo's Four Seasons Project. I know my #1, but past that is tough. I wanted to know what you guys think!

Here are the four songs if you want to have a listen:

STARRY NIGHT

EGOTISTIC

WIND FLOWER

GOGOBEBE

Which title track was your favorite?
How would you rank them?

Here is my ranking:
#1 Egotistic
#2 Wind Flower
#3 Starry Night
#4 Gogobebe

Egotistic is easily my favorite of the four. It was my favorite song from 2018, and it's one of my top 5 favorite kpop songs ever. Past that, it's hard for me to rank them. As much as I think Starry Night is amazing, I really think I enjoy Wind Flower more, even though I don't think it is a "better" song. And as for Gogobebe, I still haven't really figured out how I feel about it. I'm addicted to it right now, but I'm not entirely sure how it compares to the other three title tracks from the project.
I could probably switch #2-#4 around into any combination and still feel equally unsure about it.
This exactly how I would rank them myself

Okay cool. I'm still getting familiar with the album and I didn't see her name written next to it like the others, so I wasn't sure lol
