I mean, think about it. Literally, in the first movie Edward attempted to gaslight Bella??? Then he basically told her to her face that he wanted to kill her and this dumbass bitch goes, "Oh, I feel so compassionate and sad that he has these urges, blah blah" something like that.

And don't even get me started on the whole Edward v Jacob thing. News flash, they're both toxic.

Twilight is a lot of things, but [to me] toxic is third on the list. The characters are not well developed. The storyline is bad and in no one can Bella be anything other than useless given that she's a human... and most books tend to build towards the conflict. Bella being stalked by James comes out of nowhere and is resolved rather quickly. But is it toxic, yes, but that's far from its only problem.

i think that played into the way sex was done, but honestly i could not get thru the first half of book 1.

on the up side it was not another Dystopian teen book almost positively happy compared to the rest of em .

lmao. Truly though Vampire literature doesn't have to suck.. Just ask Anne Rice. Lestat was a vampire who was quite toxic [as a vampire probably should be], but was written quite well.

yep it was a dark book set. the 2nd with the 5-6 year old was super dark. OFC Anne Rice now regrets writing them.
