What is a girl crush concept to you? To me it's a very general descriptor so I feel like almost any concept that a gg does could be considered girl crush right? If it's only about doing what girls find attractive in other girls, then couldn't it be just....any style any vibe?

I consider a lot of groups to be girl crush groups just because I just define it as groups that I find femininely empowering or just really cool in general

Tbh I’m not really sure either. But usually Ig it’s a concept that appears more “cool” than “bright” “cute” “elegant” “sexy” and being sort of a dark concept but not amongst the darkest for girl groups, like for example, horror like dreamcatcher

It’s weird bc a lot of girl crush songs might be called dark concepts if they went to boygroups, but to be called a dark concept for a gg song, it has to be darker than most “dark” bg songs

I always thought girl crush was...somewhat masculine/badass as a girl group concept. That was always my interpretation. It's why I think Ryujin is considered the girl crush queen same with Moonbyul.

I just consider it to be a badass concept as there is more mature concepts that don't necessarily fit with other girl crush groups like using Mamamoo as an example I don't consider something like Décalcomanie the same as Hip since to me they have different energy about them.

it really is just being more masculine, which is why i hate girl crush. its branded as empowering when all it is is just women acting more like men, this is not feminist at all
