Gp- general public.
Park Bom was one of the most hated idols in basically knetizen history for years she got hate and basically kicked out of yg that's how bad it was.

We all blindly believed these articles getting x amount of upvotes. But look she is in the top 10 on melon! She has been in the top 5 too.

Basically k-netizens are all just bitter jealous haters they dont represent Korea.

TOP had a major scandal and yet BB's song still went number 1. So we need to stop taking these keyboard warriors seriously. And so do the companies.

What do you think?

Depends on the idol
YG/YG ex are invincible. People almost expect them to get into scandals, so no one cares
That doesn't always apply to the rest of idols

That's true. Plus sites only translate the most inflammatory Knetz responses to get clicks. It would be like picking out i-fans' most toxic comments and assuming that's what all i-fans think.

Netizens don't really reflect the opinion of the GP anymore and I agree with that.

While they still do tear down idols and are the reason some idols feel badly towards themselves from the hate received by them, I don't that the GP has the same ill thinking towards idols as they do. In the end, they just like the music and as newer generations come along the less they're going to care about these so-called "scandals" like Park Bom's situation. It's why not a lot of the GP cared about some of the drug scandals in Big Bang, it was marijuana which is becoming ... normalized I guess is a way of putting it.

Well this is complicated. Certainly because ifans interact with opinions online it makes us have a unclear view. And yes, sites like Neitzen Buzz purposefully translate certain comments.

Companies listen because neitzens are usually young people in their early twenties and younger. This is the demographic idols are aimed at even if a group or individual has wider appeal. So as long as idol pop is a youth pop culture built on fanndom companies will care about neitzen opinions.

Bom and T.O.P. are not in the same boat. With Bom her scandal was a literal witch hunt that came at a time when YG was thought to be favored by the old regime. Ridilcous rumors about Bom flew everywhere, she was caught up in the mob outrage.

With T.O.P. nothing was sensationalized he was positive for weed while serving. Regardless of what you think of the legalization of marijuana I hope we all agree one should not be doing it just before or during active military duty against a nuclear power. We will see how the GP reacts to T.O.P.

it depends why he was doing it imo. my sister takes cannabis for her social anxiety. im not saying top is like that but it's possible he was nervous and did it to feel better. doing it during active training is definitely not a good call, but doing it before i can understand.

People that think NB are real genuine k-netz opinion are always people that love to find fault with groups they hate so they can easily source/quote the comments from the site and post it elsewhere, you also have youtube channels stirring drama with these 'k-netz comments' to get viewers and subscriber... One wonderful example of a channel is of course... k-buzz...:pandanoreaction:
