On one hand I'm not against adding members, with Yeri being a great example of a perfect addition to a group after debut.

But on the other, like you said, aespa have been going longer (and released more) than RV had when they included Yeri. At this point adding more members now would be unnecessary. OT4 has found considerable success already, so personally I think they should remain as 4.

Maybe they just wanted to add another ae like when seraphine featured in kd/a’s more but isn’t actually part of kd/a.

Seems strange to leave it this long but I suppose SM will tie it into aespas universe as an explanation if it does happen

I think I've went over it in the other thread, but I doubt it: helen is likely out (following some former black label trainees if that indicates anything), ouju idek if she exists 100% (right before aespa debut there were allegedly staff leaks onto dc gall of her singing), ara I think is still fake because everyone who comes up with it keeps using that yassified ai looking face which doesn't match any one of the debut team trainees at the time
I honestly think that was maybe a consideration at debut era, but they did too well to justify any additions
they've been holding a lot of auditions for new girls now that the old guard has left for good (+ the wave that left during covid and couldn't find housing in seoul as giselle did like piano), so I think a newer gg soon is more likely than member additions

idk why the rumours started again wayy after they settled, and this is coming from someone who was really pulling for a larger group
and seeing how aespa is kind of the new flagship group I think sm would rather play it safer in terms of long term goals

In all seriousness, honestly, additions to the group while we already have been so used to only 4 all this time, I personally don't like it.
Because if this rumor is true, this just tells me the group was never "finalized". WTF, SM??????

This also proves, generally, we cannot trust "finalized and debuted" groups anymore because we'll have worries in the back of our minds by wondering if more new members will join down the line since the labels seem to not know what they are doing and/or the labels do not have trust in the groups to make more profit with the current lineups, I guess.

It was made a year ago. Speculations about adding members were present since debut since so many trainees left before Aespa debuted that were thought to debut with them. Not likely that they will add anyone tho after this much time. Yeri was added by the second comeback. Aespa has been through several comebacks by now.

And Yeri was added before any physical music at all, so every album has her in it.
