Rather than just looking at numbers, the most significant factor are the degrees of power imbalance. This is true for almost all countries, but especially in Korea, a man holds more social power than a woman, a rich man holds even more power, a rich man who is nationally famous holds even more power, a nationally famous rich man with a top position in a company relative to the other employees holds even more power. All the evidence you need is how the public treats women for trivial things like her facial expressions compared to CEOs of top corporations who were literally connected to criminal activities.
No matter how strong and independent a woman is, she will face inequalities due to being in a patriarchal system put in place by powerful men to benefit them.
