It’s a creature looking thing we found in Maine by the seaside. I don’t know what it is and no one else in my family seems to. Does anyone here recognize it and know what it could be?

Looks like a snake crossed with a jelly fish :o

Extremely, I was thinking it’s either a snake or turtle. Now I can narrow it down
I don’t actually think it’s a snake btw I just had to think of something

It's a polychaete worm, likely Alitta virens.

If I’m understanding right polychaete worms have bristles right? I thought it could be one but the bristles don’t match on the photo I took

I mean, it's also possible it's a closely related species if not that one, Maine is home to about 250 species of polychaetes.

honestly i was thinking of some kind of caecilian but afaik they don't live anywhere near maine, so that's not it.

They do look similar, I found a photo and thought it could be it but they don’t live here or anywhere close
