Makestar here!

Ever since Kpopsource has kindly verified the account, I was going to make an introduction
and here it is!!!

Nice to meet you all :D

MAKESTAR is a K-Pop crowdfunding platform service that teams up with the artist's label!
(So please spread the word that all of our projects and their products are official)

Makestar's crowdfunding Projects are not exactly a donation in that each participation comes with Rewards.
(a certificate at least, a special event where you can meet the artist in person at best)
If you need an example, here's the project page of MASC New Album Project
However, the projects are indeed a funding in that every participation is going to aid the production of whatever the project is for.

Following the progress of each project, what we call Project Updates will be posted routinely.
For example if the project reaches a certain % point, there might be the artist's thank you video.
Or if the fans are bored after having participated in the project, there might be events where the fans can be a part of.
For better understanding,
this is the video D-CRUNCH sent to Makestar to thank the fans for reaching the 100% goal on the opening week
and here's the event where BLACK6IX members reply on the comments fans left (fyi this is an ongoing event :D)

On Makestar's Magazine page, various articles regarding Kpop are posted regularly
and there are also many events every now and then and those events come with prizes you can win!
For now, there's a Spring event going on where you can show off your favorite artist's fanart

To sum up, on Makestar, you can ...

- Read Kpop articles
- Participate in events and win prizes
- Participate in events and communicate with the artist
- Join the project and support the artist
- Join the project and get the rewards you chose

If a new project is open and the artist has had another project before,
an email notifying the new project is automatically sent to all the participants of the previous project :)
