for many of em yes but still they have to invite the attendees. And then ya have to wonder if teh skipped ppl just didnt want to go to Thailand, or there was a agency cap of some sort.

i could see that for AAA or mama since they are middlin status but GDA is a bit more respected.

I wouldn't say logistics is factor here, but it's not surprising given that RV did not attend a single award show this year.

KMA is arguably the most reputable award show in Korea, but you are right that GDA is expected to have more reputation than, let's say, AAA or MAMA, when it comes to rewarding artists who do not attend.
