SHINee there really isn't much to comment on-their biggest issue is having raps in their songs when they don't need them and also when Minho genuinely cannot rap. Key is a better rapper than him but that isn't saying much.

With Kara I wish they would've been able to promote longer as a group with Youngji. She was added and they had two or three comebacks and then vanished. I wish that era would've lasted longer in general because I think it sucks that it seems like Youngji just vanished after all of that when she won that place in the group.

Both of these groups are icons so I genuinely don't have much to say.

Those takes are completely accurate, and are I think Key is good rapper (don't get me wrong I wouldn't include him at all on the best rappers in K-Pop) & that was the main reason why I retroactively realised I was a fan of KARA as I had issues with how Youngji's addition was handled. However, (maybe this is giving DSP Media too much benefit of the doubt) I believe that Youngji wanted to be an actress and soloist much more than she wanted to be a member of KARA, so the selection was pre-fixed for her to come out on top while showcasing the talent of their other trainees that would debut later (I don't know how Sojin, god rest her soul, would play into this timeline though).

Well, you see-the thing that sucks about BlockB is that they released one of the most iconic songs that straight up shits all over the kpop idol industry but they released it at a bad time so it got completely slept on-so that's why they fucking suck. ALSO, can I just say they fucking suck for DISBANDING.

Also Taeil is CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED AS A VOCALIST AND ANYTIME SOMEONE MAKES A THREAD ABOUT TAEIL I GO IN EXPECTING TO SEE MY BOY BUT ITS TAEIL FROM NCT. Fuck that shit.

I hate the direction they are going in musically. Don't get me wrong I usually end up liking their stuff at the end of the day but their music has become more hit or miss for me which used to NEVER be the case. I know they are under a new company and that might be why. But I don't know. it's starting to sound too soft. I love them as a group but this direction they are going in also isn't one they can vocally keep up with, they have improved MASSIVELY since the show that formed them but they still aren't perfect and all these high tones in their songs are NOT helping them out.

Oh my goodness as much as I love them. They are literally the worst SM girl group to EVER debut. The concept alone is trash. Giselle shouldn't have debuted. Yes, she is probably the best female rapper in the company but it's clear the girl doesn't care too much for the idol life (but who can blame her? It's garbage).

ALSO also, SM isn't known for having groups with crazy good stage presence but at the same time, they do have standouts in almost every group but omfg. I love Ningning but even SHE cannot carry the whole group with her presence alone. Also, I'm so sad that Karina is the main dancer, she isn't that good so as a result there really isn't anything to write home about in regards to aespa except for the rapping. BUT their main rapper also can't hold her own in anything other than singing. She just isn't an idol.

aespa as a whole seems like a crazy step down for SM in almost every aspect. Except for the vocals and the rapping BUT they don't outshine any of their previous groups with the vocals either. They just are missing something and feel like they were rushed to debut, SM didn't seem to try for making them stand out.

THEY INFURIATE ME EVEN THOUGH I WANT TO SUPPORT AND LOVE THEM.
(I mainly just adore Ningning and Winter).
