I'm fairly knowledgeable about the groups I stan (or stanned). I might not know about their entire discography (soloists included) but I know some basic information. On K-pop as a whole I can probably name somewhat over 20 K-pop groups right now, and with Q-pop I can probably name most or all of them (to be fair though Q-pop is relatively new so that would be expected).

EXO (and EXO-SC, EXO-CBX, EXO-K and EXO-M), NCT (and NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream and possibly WayV), TVXQ, JYJ, BIGBANG, BLACKPINK, GOT7 (I THINK JJ Project is related to them?), Super Junior (and SJ-K.R.Y, SJ-D&E, SJ-M, and SJ-H), H.O.T, S.E.S, Shinhwa, M.I.L.K, Wonder Girls, Brown Eyed Girls, Red Velvet, aespa, Cravity, MAVE, KARD, Monsta X, E'Last, SHINee, Rainbow, Secret, B.A.P, of course BTS, f(x), Fly To The Sky, S#ARP, Miss A, Twice, Stray Kids, 2AM/2PM, IVE, NewJeans, LSFM, TXT, Seventeen (and BSS, HipHop Unit, and Leaders or some shit like that idk this group well), Block B, ATEEZ, JJCC, K'pop, and Stellar, to name a few

Ninety One, DNA, Juzim, CrystalZ, Sevenlight, MadMen, IMZ1, Alpha, XTZ, Black Dial, IceBlue, and that is all I can name for now as for actual Q-pop groups, because IDK if Renzo, Orda, Ayumi, and KeshYou would be considered Q-pop?

I only follow kpop very casually - more or less. Dreamcatcher is the only K-Pop group where I regularly watch vlogs and know the full discography and some details about the members. Dreamcatcher is also the only K-Pop group that I want to see live (I hope this year).

There are other K-Pop groups I listen to and I'm interested in their music, but not necessarily in the idols.

Tbh I think it’s partially caused by being less dedicated to following all the releases plus 4th gen just has so many groups. I now the popular ones but not the nugu ones anymore

Yeah basically. I did stop stanning so many groups also though, like my stan list was so much longer in the past. It’s not that my liking changed for all of them (some of them did start releasing more meh songs though imo), but it’s also that I revised my definition of stanning. So my stan list dropped from like 15 to like 5 too.

That's hard to define... I think I'm more familiar with what's going on 4th gen an onward and not so much what's before that besides things my faves have done. Though I can name most popular groups from those periods and a decent amount of songs.

I am mostly invested in my faves, but I keep up with a lot of things... popular releases, i know what's going on with groups I don't stan and can name some members of these groups, I even know about a lot of nugu's I don't stan.

I don't necessarily listen to every release though. But ig I like to know what is up and coming. I follow a few nugu promoter accounts to see what's going on and check out things that look interesting.
