I'll just leave a comment for the song, because I don't like the AI group concept. Especially the chorus of 'Pandora' reminds me a bit of the one in 'Pop/Stars' by K/DA. Maybe you'll like this song too?



By the way, there's one K/DA song that's not even bad. It's 'Villain'. The MV is well made (but you shouldn't be afraid of snakes ... many of them):



I'd like to see this MV with a combination of CGI and a real K-Pop group.

The only thing that makes me wary is I can't find credit for who is doing their voices, and with the reveal that AI "created" art is often just ripping from artists who did not consent to have their art used in that way, I'm wary to support something where the credit is not clear.

Yeah, tbh, I already find aespa's concept a little bit weird, but at least we know who they are and the members are being properly credited for their work. Even "groups" like K/DA, it's clear the intent is for Riot to have another method of advertising League of Legends, and it's no secret who is actually singing their songs.

Acting like MAVE are real beings is just kind of uncanny valley, imo.

Yeah... I didn't watch that because it's just weird, since the members of K/DA are all playable characters in a video game (some of them villains) and this "whee, I'm a pop star" bit is WEIRD. Like Ahri's in-game byline is that she "revels in toying with her prey by manipulating their emotions before devouring their life essence."

They really should have left it at just being a fun thing they did to introduce their game world to more people, especially since Riot has an established history of releasing MVs in this way. It'd be like taking Vi from Arcane and having "her" react like Netflix's show blowing up was totally astonishing for her and her art form of acting. SO WEIRD.

hmm kind of reminds of how Mattel gave Barbie a vlogging channel lol


Like, if you look at the videos the channel does, it's a lot of what you'd expect from any vlogging channel, challenges and other bite sized vids. And the way they have the "character" of Barbie talk has this sense of... ig realism? Like they are trying to make her your everyday girl you might know with struggles and whatnot sometimes.

I mean, Barbie is very much an icon and a character Mattel wants you to project on to, so in the past they did movies and TV shows to kind of help give kids a personality and world to latch on to (and ofc to be essentially be big ads to buy their toys), so this extends off of that but in a different way. An almost more modernized version of those ideas.

I liked the chorus and the vocals. The rapper isn’t great. I don’t really care if it’s virtual or not as long as the artists are credited for their work. I don’t see the point tho of making virtual idols just to have them sit in penthouses and windows like real idols. Leverage the tech to have them riding comets and lassoing stars and shit.
