Microsoft was just a OS then it was just dos.
ebay was just to sell used pez dispencers.
amazon was fo a small set of books.

its still a double edged sword though, if you look at google, the search itself has not really changed over time, you have this simple google search window with a white page and a search bar like you always had

so if you want to keep using google as a search engine, you can do it pretty much the same as always

Ohter services change quite a bit, like IG where you get spammed with videos now, even if you want to only watch pictures. So they kind of ruined the main point of the app in trying to emulate tiktok
