I have found a seemingly reparable website that has published the topic.

www.kpopstarz.com has posted the report of what supposedly happened.
Student Narrates How EXO Chen Rescued Her From Terrifying Assault: 'He was a great person'

From a simple google search of the keywords "exo chen saves student" I found a few mentions of the same case.

I personally don't doubt that this is something Chen would do even knowing a small bit of who he is as a person.
