So what happens to the existing groups of Queendom Puzzle participants? (1 Viewer)

I mean if any of the members make it into the queendom group, can they still stay active in Rocket Punch or whereever they are now or do they just leave their old group?

They'll either promote with both groups or call it quits with the former. Either way, the agencies have in fact agreed to all outcomes. As long as it doesn't turn into another I.O.I mess :(

oh... this all very confusing to me as so many members of active groups are taking part

Lets say 3 members of weekly make in it, wouldn't that mean the rest of weekly is pretty much disbanded ?

not necessarily. like i said, agencies may have agreements in place that would enable them to carry on promoting with both groups. Sadly, we won't find out about the fine prints until the show's conclusion, like we did with Produce 101.

All they said is "Global project group". So, what i'm thinking is, they already have a mini album ready to go for them to debut with. And based on the success of that debut, they might be offered a long term contract. At which point, they could elect to let go of their original group, depending on the contractual agreement with the show's producers. We'll see ig. We're 10 weeks away from finding out! LOL

yeah I understand why it makes sense... but seing it just makes me even more fearful to ever get attached to a nugu group, not only is there always a high chance of them not having much success, but also members can randomly go on survial programs and leave the group

yeah the first produce groups had only 1 year contracts, but imagine if a group was on hiatus for 2,5 years, until then probably at least 10 new groups have debuted, it would be very hard to comeback, especially if the group was already struggling before or at least did not belong to the top

I believe that the global term is rather meant towards "outreach", as in global outreach or market. I'm fairly certain it has nothing to do with the member's composition. That being said, you might be right, who knows! lol
