I've never saw a group that keeps their rookie heart after 8 years.

Not one memeber being selfish,
still caring for one another,

That's so sweet! Obviously, there was a reason that they all decided to stay with JYPE too. They had the choice to stay together elsewhere.

Also, Twice is pretty much JYPE's money bag...
But did anyone really expect that when they first debuted? I heard that they got a lot of hate from the GP because they were accused of copying some other group or some mess like that. And how they were pitted against a more established girl group as rookies for the Daring Woman performance's show.

But look where they are now! They're easily considered one of the top groups and if that show still existed, they would be the novice groups going up against another rookie group :D

wanna hear my reasoning?

1. history and precedent shows us that GG do not all renew with the same company that they debuted with.
2. Thus individual members of said GG need to think of themselves and their futures and what they want to do.
3. Individual activities are then super important to members of GG to make a name for themselves and thus 'tis better to start doing more individual activities the earlier the possible.
4. TWICE members had none of that because JYPE prevented them from doing so.
5. Twice members had more individual activities in the first half of year 7 than the entire years 1-6 combined!!!
6. THUS JYP's goal is to force Twice to renew since they had less opportunity to sign outside of JYPE since they had less solo activities...

I know...it's really sad.

They did have a show where they did a friendly competition between novice and rookie groups! I didn't watch it when it aired because this was all the way in like 2015 but they were considered the rookie group team. I forgot the other group they went up against tho.

It's interesting because this is a 90s trot song and it sounds so different and more upbeat. This is more R&B-esque and they changed the lyrics from "woman drinking with man" to "woman simply on a date with man" because Chaeyoung and Tzuyu were still minors.

we all know JYP deliberately prevented twice from having solo activities in years 1-6...sure Mr plastic pants still has nightmares from the ghost of suzy but the facts add up and is beneficial to JYPE (and the detriment of twice) so...

That's also very true. It is still so weird how they weren't given any solo freedom for the longest time. But I guess it was a tactic in a way :/
I remember that before Nayeon debuted as a soloist, there was this huge debate on who would solo debut first and how we were complaining how the Melody Projects were the closest we were ever going to get to actual solo releases LOL

That feels like so long ago...T-T but that was literally before June 2022 (or at least before it was first announced)
