i think i saw it mentioned when she and Herin were on Idol school, but i had forgotten too its been so long.
(ironically pd 48 gets all the rigging hate, but idol school was like 100% rigged each round.)
The girl who won didnt even make the group.

Lee Haein who was also on produce 101 season 1 She wrote a letter to fans after it was revealed she won.
Its pretty much given that Natty and Herin were also rigged out.

Best i can figure is she was older than they would like.
as a 94 line. and much like in produce 48 with Gaeun her optics were much older.

Idol school is weird i have no idea why they didn't want Natty, Herin(she was an SM Rookie and would have been main vocal. That was the 'lost ' group of sm rookies Koeun, Hina, Lami, Herin ).



i Understand Why Produce 48 may have changed the members.
if the director came in and saw the vote on Tuesday and there was 1 Japanese girl something had to be done.
Sorry to say i would have likely dropped the same 2 girls Goeun is an easy scratch and it was prb between Chowon and Hyewon.
Unlike GP999 pd 48 had a bunch of at least lead quality vocals who could dance in the mix already.

mmh.. it still seems very weird to kick out the most popular members and if they think its a problem if only one japanese members makes it, they should design from the start that there are certain spots for the japanese, then they don't get into such issues and need to manipulate votes...

True, but they didn't set up parameters.
Idol school was just flat out strange there is some belief that the members who made it signed different contracts from the start. I think some were surprised, Gyuri was clearly shocked.

Well before pd 48 started it was rumored that it would be 6-6 with Korea voting for the J girls and Japan voting for the k girls. That obviously was too hard.
The problem is at the end of the day people are very territorial, combined with just how good knets are at voting. You clearly cant trust them to not vote for self interest or manipulate the vote. So the shows manipulate the vote back. pd 101 there was so much cheating agencies were mass voting giving employees a number of votes they had to do per day. But ofc the knets dont consider what they are doing as cheating.... but the show doing it is bad..

It not much different from jyp deciding to bring back girls for his show.

At the end of the day i think the shows should say up front we reserve the right to make x number of changes. But that destroys the entire vote for your pick premise. or come up with a fool proof way to a allow votes. Maybe tied to identification numbers and not per phone ect.

I can see your point.. but thats just another reason to not watch those kind of shows, its just a mess either way..

Also I think its a big difference if JYP does random stuff in his shows, as he never pretended that anyone else but himself will decide the outcome, so no needs to get angry about it

Its harsh but i love the produce shows. Idol school was pretty unwatchable even before i knew the drama.
PD 101 China was flat selling votes ( ie you could buy card worth x number of votes) and they still rigged it butsome of the episodes were really touching.
I have come to realize that some of the picks will be odd. And girls i really like may not make it.
But it is often a huge chance for girls' who would be lost in some agency, or had really bad luck and a chance to try again.
and its a fun chance to see some of the process and the kids grow. Sure there is a found puppy/pet deal going on but ill put up with it .
Seeing people try and some win and some fail yet push for the dream has appeal.
