I'm also glad that I realized it at some point and reflected. I just felt that it was necessary to share this even if it is something that I'm eternally going to feel guilty over and on top of it being disappointing, it is embarrassing but I hope people consider my words and take something from it. The guilt that I feel and whatever backlash I face is the consequence of my behavior from then and my karma and I accept it. I only hope that I continue to show growth and instill a more positive mindset in others by learning from my own wrongdoings and sharing it with them so they can learn from it as well. It’s good that you realised your wrongdoings before it escalated further. It’d be nice if we heard more of these kind of stories, whether they be from knetz or anybody else.
I think it is something that should be discussed more often because people truly don't realize the impact of their words until it's too late and some people just carelessly say whatever they want. I know I didn't realize the influence and impact I had with my words during those times until a later situation happened which caused for me to go into a deep reflection period which was necessary for me to grow as a person. I just hope people can take something from this and learn from my wrongdoings. You noticed what you were doing, regretted it and changed ur behavior for better. People learn things and grown up, rather than being fixated what u used to be, I think it's better to see what ur now and don't feel guilty over the past ^^
In terms of topic, I think it's really good to remember that idols despite being celebrities are also human and they have times too where they don't have the toughest skin and hate comments can really get to them.
Thank you. It is important to learn from the past and I'm glad that I eventually did because like you said, it can help others learn and I would rather learn from my past transgressions and help others by learning from my experience than stay in that bubble of negativity. Your words are very kind as are everyone else's but I don't feel deserving of them. I really thank you though. ❤None of us are born perfect, but we also can't blame ourselves for making mistakes in our past. Whats important isnt that we always get everything right, but rather we learn how and why to act in an appropriate manner. Thats the only way we can learn and help others to learn as well, stories like this make a powerful impact on people. Im proud of you for realizing what you did was wrong and trying to make up for it. Dont feel so guilty about your past, focus more on the person that you are now.![]()
Thank you so much. I think that it was important for me to do so I could grow as a person. I am genuinely remorseful, I can't express this enough and I debated with myself about posting all of this at some point although I would be embarrassed and have second thoughts but with what recently happened, I thought this was the right time to do so. So I could remind myself to be a better person than I was, to remind people to be a better person than I was and/or to not fall into that same bubble of negativity as I once did. Most importantly, to remember that artists (Or idols, whichever term people prefer) are still human, that they can and do get hurt and negatively impacted in many ways by the words of others and that those words can have tragic consequences.I read through all of this even though it was very long because I think it's a beautiful thing when someone sincerely admits that they are wrong. Thank you for being a beautiful person and owning up to your decisions.![]()
I was really negative too once. Not towards kpop idols, but towards life overall. Then I realised that I had people who supported me and would never abandon me and it made me very happy. I managed to break away from the bubble of negativity that surrounded me one step at a time.Thank you so much. I think that it was important for me to do so I could grow as a person. Thank you, I really can't thank everyone here enough for their kind words. I truly don't feel like I deserve them but I do appreciate all of them...It's good that you realised how you were acting was wrong and what shows to me your sincerity is not that you took the time out to write all this, it's that you clearly aren't that person any more which can be seen from the posts you've made here.
You should also not hold it against yourself too much though, you did the best thing someone could do in a situation like this which is change your actions and you should realise that means more than any kind of apology and is not something everyone is willing to do.
One a final note you say you are gonna become less active but also that you want to help spread positivity, isn't the best way to spread positivity to take action yourself? Like a quote I heard says "I certainly can't change it by sitting on my couch" the best way to do that is to enforce that change and help spread that positivity yourself.
I'm glad to hear that you were also able to overcome your situation and become a better person. That is what matters and I thank you for your kind words and encouragement. ❤I've been in a similar boat, so I really do understand what you went through. People can change, and hopefully for the better. It's been years, and I can proudly say that I'm a completely different person. I'm sure you are as well~
I think it's just that what recently happened shook me up and although I've been trying to move on even before that incident happened, the hurt and disappointment and guilt from how I once was is always going to be there but on some days, I feel it more intensely than others. However, like you said, I really should be focusing on the future and you seem like an absolutely beautiful person. ❤you seem like a wonderful person. people do change and there is no reason to think about the past. the future is what's important
That's what it was. I kind of explained earlier that I didn't realize the impact of my words or the influence of them because I also never thought about "What if ___________ read my words?" That was something that never came to my mind until I reflected later on. Although I kept everything I had to say and that behavior strictly on my SNS account, it was still very negative, their fans read it and I know I hurt people because they read those words and expressed their anger at me and then it was a cycling of arguing and me trying to justify why I thought that way or said what I said, while they would justify why it was wrong. Pointless arguments and fanwars. It always hurts when someone you are a fan of and idolize is being talked about negatively so I understand where they were coming from. I just wish that I would have minded my business at the time and reminded myself of the saying "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all." because I probably would have thought before doing so. I really was too into my own bubble of negativity to consider the impact I had or could have but I am glad I realized it and changed although I wish it was sooner.I was really negative too once. Not towards kpop idols, but towards life overall. Then I realised that I had people who supported me and would never abandon me and it made me very happy. sonder - the realisation that each random passerby is living a life vivid and complex as your own.
I think you've kind of done this. You've realised that these famous people have feelings and the ability to get hurt or sad just like normal people because they are normal people. You've realised that their sadness can lead to something very dark and tragic.
I hope you step further and further away from the bubble of negativity until you can never fall into it again.
The only reason I have to negatively judge you so far is liking Sunny SummerThank you, I really can't thank everyone here enough for their kind words. I truly don't feel like I deserve them but I do appreciate all of them...
I just feel like I need to distance myself from K-Pop entirely. Aside from that guilty feeling lingering, that's also why I was slowly becoming less active here. Maybe this feeling is actually temporary although right now, it feels permanent but maybe it's because the recent events shook me up and while I was embarrassed to share my past, I wanted to share it to serve as some type of lesson to learn from or a reminder, not only for others who read this but for myself as well. I have had such an enjoyable and unforgettable time on here. I guess I was planning on this thread/post being my last one here and to serve as a goodbye. I'm not sure if I can stick around on here, I just feel like I will always be negatively judged after sharing this (Although no one has said anything negative). I know I shouldn't care about what other people think because I have learned and have shown growth as a person and if people do feel or think that way about me, it is the consequence of my actions from then but I just feel like a disappointment right now. What I do want to say is: All of you have been welcoming, kind, honest, and encouraging. I am beyond thankful. ❤
