It's normally not to bad because we don't have high humidity here but when I went south it was like 80s but with humidity it felt like 100

Pleasure, visiting all 50 states been a goal for awhile. But some states aren't exciting enough of have enough to kill a whole week so in extended weekend like memorial day (a US holiday) I had 4 days off so I just made a weekend trip out of it to visit 2 states

The food is incredible in the south, none of the restaurants were misses, since of the best I've had.

Part of reason for going is also for history, many historic places and i visited a few plantations where they have us tour the history of slavery down south.

There was also a national park down there that had one of the only species of synchronized fireflies. I went on shoulder season so they weren't 100% in sync but it was still incredible, it was pitch black since it was in the middle of a swamp but there were hundreds of fireflies just sparkling everywhere, probably the highlight of the trip.
