Yeah I'm really confused on the length of CL and Dara's second contracts. Usually the second contract is only three years, mainly because the artist is more established and its in their favor to have a shorten contract. CL resigned I'm guessing in March of 2015 and in went into affect in April or May of that year, so her contract should have expired in 2018. Even if it was extended shouldn't it be 2019? Why resign a 5+ year second contract? And why hasn't CL left since late 2017 or 2018..can she not leave or something? Even with Dara her contract should end this year (in fact last month), why are their second contracts longer then the average three years!?

That's what I thought. It doesn't make any sense to me unless they actually got another extention, which may be understandable in Dara's case but CL? I don't get it.

Yes, and they've been doing their job for years which is why she still gets interviews, photoshoots, promotions etc etc. In fact Braun was the one who organized her collaboration with PKCZ and 88rising. When a company doesn't let the artist release music the management can only do so much.

CL would be foolish to get a extension, especially because she was very angry in the year her contract would end. Maybe they each signed five years....but why? I understand 3-4 years for 2019 but the contract should have been up for resign earlier this year, resigned by March and announced by April/May. But nothing has been said about contract negations which the press always releases... I guess we have to wait another year...

Yeah, I hope all of BP can get as well. The thing is, we really don't know who's innocent anymore, as the rest of IKON might be involved as well. Since YGE isn't as strict with BG's and he is with GG's I doubt BP is guilty. However, if they are, they need to get away from that man as soon as possible.

It’s sad but it does happen that an artists song will get given away to another artist. I feel bad for CL, and I’m sorry that YG treats her this way, though there’s nothing to be done about it now. I hope she can get away from YG and get treated better in a different company.

Companies seem to swap songs quite often, but i think the reason why people are upset in this case is cause CL hasn't released anything in ages and has been saying that YG is holding her back so it really feels like she was robbed the song and the comeback. If it was another artist it wouldn't matter that much cause the artists would just comeback with another song.
