no way you have a backstory to thisOh, I recognize this! That's Ichiran in Japan, it's a small chain famous for being no contact and I ate there last year.

That place is an introverts dream and the ramen is not bad. You just buy a ticket in a vending machine then check the boxes (spiciness levels etc) and when you are ready you press the little call button and somebody will raise the tatami and take it, then come back with your food - the whole time without ever seeing anyones face, you got your own little space with covers on each side. I wish all restaurants was like that.
The staff was so polite too, even though we didn't see each others faces I could see their body and they bowed really deeply and held it for several seconds - I almost felt bad as someone who's not used to that but I suppose it's fairly normal Japanese custom.
It's probably just the way I'm explaining itno way you have a backstory to this
tbh to me the place sounds a bit scary / complicated, but it's great if you had a good experience!
isn't ramen supposed to be the meal though?I too like to end my meals with savory things so I can see myself having ramen as dessert![]()
apparently, quite the suprise!Savory over sweet gang?
It's probably just the way I'm explaining it, it was actually super simple and they even have wooden tags with writing on them next to your seat that you can hand in if you need anything and don't want to talk. Super handy for foreigners!
Yes, I usually eat alpt of calories because I workout alot. So usually i need like 3000 calories to not lose muscle which means I may eat a meal of rice and broccoli and chicken breast but I may still need more carbs after hitting my protein goals. And in that case I will end with some kind of carb source, sometimes ramen. For example yesterday I ended with chow funisn't ramen supposed to be the meal though?![]()
