2. I like most the political intrigue stuff AkaYona has and has been uncovering slowly, i love stuff like that. And i like the grey morality it portrays in many cases. My favorite character is Soowon (sry for those that don't like him, but i will probably spam the thread of screenshots and fanart of him xd), that quite fits to what themes i like about AkaYona though I like everyone in Yona's gang as well, Shin-Ah probably being my favorite there.. and Yun is great.

Even though I haven't read the manga, I quite like the grey morality aspect too. It sort of reflects real life because most of the time, there is no clear division between evil and good. I quite liked Yona's father at the beginning but it slowly developed into dislike when I saw what he had done to the country. I strongly disliked Sowoon's character at first but I've slowly come to like him because he seemed to have a valid reason to take over the throne.

My heart says that I like him but my brain says that he's the antagonist and that I should hate him. I don't know what to feel

Yona's dad is still quite big mystery in the manga as well, not lot of him has been revealed, but some smaller things once a while. I'm not big fan either, though who knows of his reasoning for some things. I'd expect that we find eventually though, but when it has been ages..

Manga has pretty much continued to paint Sowoon as quite grey, i think there is some occasions he seems more of antagonist or even villainous and others where he doesn't and rather comes of maybe as third protagonist even. His relationship with Hak and Yona is definitely interesting.

Though ofc the only right answer is to love and worship our emperor

I only watched the Anime and I finished that a while ago oof. I finished it so long ago that I now have to Google the names of the characters so I can tell you who was my favorite LOL. But, I do remember all their faces. I really enjoyed the show. But, idk I wasn't SO into it that I wanted to continue reading the Manga after finishing the Anime. I'm pretty sure there was an OVA out as well? Never watched that either.

As for my favorite character? It would have to be Yona herself, which is weird considering the protagonist is rarely ever my fav character. Idk, for a Shoujo genre, they've written her character VERY differently. I adored seeing a powerful female willing to adapt and fight her own battles. It was definitely a sight to behold. Yoon would definitely come in second just because of the humor he adds to the show. Shin Ah has the best background story imo so I quite enjoyed his character and development.
