YouTube Changes How It Counts Purchased Views. Does It Go Far Enough?

To summarize: The view count is not going to be affected but the artists won't get a penny from inflated/ bought views.

About time.

lmao watch every single youtube upload "YOUTUBE IS OPPRESSING ME"

"HOW I GOT DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BY YOUTUBE (NOT CLICKBAIT!! I CRIED!): STORYTIME"

[RandAlThor]

But they said nada about taking them out of the view count ......
just not counting them for the 24 hour mark.
They still wanna sell the adds.
So do not expect the number to ever be real.

Sad but true...

I do not even trust the spotify numbers.

For a test i took a computer that does not even have speakers.
logged onto my spotify account
picked an album.
looped it.
let it run for 2 days.
showed me logged on and listening to the songs when i was at work looking at this site.
if i opend spoitify at work it picked up playing where the song at home was.
i infer any playlist so looped will work forever on any number of computers.

That's not really fix

But they don't want to lose ad money even if it fakes their own system
