My answers: no, yes and half-successful.
My friend kinda likes bts, find them nice guys and like some songs (especially RM's solo albums). Also she likes some kpop songs (once she showed me a monsta x song). But overall she is pretty uninterested.

I tried getting my friends to join here but none of them were interested in kpop, i have a cousin who is interested in twice, but its awkward talking about it since we only meet like once a year.

I got into kpop because of my friends but I don't think I've ever gotten anyone into kpop. Two of my closest friends used to like it but they're pretty disinterested now. One still listens to them casually but isn't too involved in it. There are a few people in my class who really enjoy it though. We don't talk really talk about it apart from a few conversations here and there though.

Tbh, it feels kind of awkward telling people you like kpop because of the huge stigma around it. You get an awkward silence after you say it so I've just stopped talking about it irl altogether.

Edit: I got my sister into it though. She's not really a friend but I guess it counts.

I don't think it's bad. I rarely talk about kpop irl. Never talked about it with my university friends, like its not a daily topic, we have more important things to discuss.

I tried to get my BF into kpop and only got him buy kpop from Korea for me... ... I have choice music... ... WELP he trie d and he did score a free post card.

I tried to introduce kpop to someone else I know, YEAH be careful introducing kpop to those old timey JRock fans. XD

(edit: PS: I was the result of someone talking about kpop to a coworker and successfully getting them into kpop)

ive tried introducing some of my friends to blackpink and their only issue was that they couldn't understand it, many of them said that if it was in English that they would like it. which tbh is understandable cause some people just like to understand what theyre listening to.

4 out of 5 of my closest friends like Kpop, probably even more than I do, and were actually the ones who got me into it.

I have not tried to get anyone into Kpop, as I rarely, if ever, talk about my interest in it. Bringing up Kpop just calls for an awkward conversation IRL.

Nope, no one is a K-Pop fan besides me. When my faves have comebacks I'll send the MV to my family (if I'm super excited) and they'll mostly just ignore it. The best response I ever got was my sister calling Kai "hot". And since then, he's the only thing about K-Pop anyone ever remembers. So no one is interested and I don't really promote it much because they simply don't care.

Some of my friend do while some don't. People know that I am into K-pop though. Even with my friends that actually are K-pop fans, we don't talk about k-pop. I never really care enough to tried to get my non k-pop friend into it either. I never been clown on for liking K-Pop though. I was so open with me liking K-pop in middle school and that was back in 2006 before K-pop was actually a thing. My current bf is Korean and he does listen to K-pop and before we date we do talk watch mv.
