106 episodes? What is this War and Peace?

I'll be dead by the time I finish it.


I want to watch Uee's 2018 drama hit My Only One as I'm a huge Uee buff. She's one of my favorite actresses. And the drama seems intriguing (A man is released from prison for murder and ends up discovering his long lost daughter, who has no idea he's her father).


But man.... I'm used to like....16 episodes... 23 episodes ... Maybe... Maaaaybe 32....

Ya know. Something manageable.

But 106?..

That's just insane.

I guess they're 32 minutes so it's more like 53 but still.


This shall test my Uee devotion.

How do you long drama watchers do this sort of thing?

I feel like I need a handbook and lessons from professionals.

idk but I did watch like a billion eps of One Piece, but I am no longer that woman and don't even have the patience to watch an anime longer than like 13 eps... none of us will live long enough to see the end of One Piece anyway so..

idk but I did watch like a billion eps of One Piece, but I am no longer that woman and don't even have the patience to watch an anime longer than like 13 eps... none of us will live long enough to see the end of One Piece anyway so..

They are in bit of trouble with anime, they have been slowing and slowing down the pacing so they don't get caught up with manga, but that has resulted into episodes where only 1 and half pages is being adapted per episode and for shonen anime that's terrible xd Really trying to strech it out..

honestly idk either, sometimes i even have troubles watching 16-episode dramas until the end in case one episode happens to be rather boring. i think it gets easier when you watch the longer ones right when they're airing because you barely realise how many episodes have passed, at least that's how it is for me.
in my country, there are tv series which have been airing for 15 or even 20 years and have thousands of episodes lmao but they're more like soap operas than usual tv shows, they don't really have one storyline and most of the characters from the first episodes/seasons are not there anymore.

honestly I think it's doable. if I can watch friends multiple times on repeat, I should be able to watch a kdrama with over 100 eps.

same. Some kdrama's start super strong but somehow they loose that somewhere in the middle so somtimes it can be diffiult to finish it.

Soap operas assume we'll miss one episode or another, so there are lots of useless scenes

In the case of Brazil they usually make some summarized versions for reruns
Specially the most famous, that gets extended for a long time lol

I didn't start watching One Piece until near the end of the doflamingo arc and I caught up to the episode in a couple month. There were time I was about to give him and regret not starting One Piece sooner. It is possible if you motivated enough to binge watch a series.
