Wendy's route of travel during the rehearsal was simple. All she was told was <Go through the tunnel and down the stairs>. But the tunnel was narrow and dark. There wasn't even the common (fluorescent) marking, making her fall 2.5 meters while defenseless.

Through this accident, Wendy has incurred injuries subjecting her to at least 6 weeks of hospitalization. Her right pelvis and wrist are fractured, and also cracks in her right cheekbone. She also has bruises on majority of her whole body. It seems like it'll take several months to recover.
Dispatch has met with a staff on-site on the 25th. This staff has personally witnessed Wendy's accident. They have shared about the incident in details.

On the 25th at 11AM, Wendy participated in the first round of rehearsals. She did a sound test at the main stage for Aladdin's <Speechless>. Sound check proceeded with nothing wrong.

The accident happened during the additional rehearsal. Wendy went up to the 2nd floor tunnel as instructed by the script. She got ready to walk down the stairs with the song playing. But the lift (stairs) wasn't raised. At that moment, she lost her balance and fell off the stage.
According to the staff, 'The 2nd floor tunnel was dark and cramped. The lift (stairs) was also not prepared. Wendy did her rehearsal under those circumstances. The accident could have been easily prevented if there were marking tapes.'

The place became chaotic. Wendy was immediately loaded onto an ambulance and sent to the emergency room. The Red Velvet members got an extremely big shock when they received the news of Wendy's injuries. With Wendy's absence, they were not able to participate in the pre-recording and live broadcast.

They'll probably just find someone to scapegoat and fire the person. I hope SBS gets sued, this is negligence on a massive level leading to a big fuckup. With RV's La Rouge concert coming up soon which Wendy definitely won't be able to attend, they certainly have grounds for a lawsuit.

I’m rarely on SM’s side for anything, but if they sued SBS I would be completely behind them. Poor Wendy, even reading about the incident sounds scary.

This is a fuckup on so many levels I just can't. I've seen high schools with better safety measures.
If the safety auditors from my workplace visited the SBS stage, they'd have closed down the whole program. No fluorescent markings, no lighting, timing of the stairs messed up due to lack of communication, this is just an all round disaster.

Yeah this is the most worrying part. A broken pelvis is no joke, she won't even be able to sit for a while. Even after healing, the mental trauma and physiotherapy she will have to undergo will take long, and who knows if she'll ever be able to get back to dancing again.

Her idol career could be permanently affected, SM should definitely take legal action.

Because, in a safety situation, surely SBS would teach all their staff about the safety precautions.
