Let's say that as of RIGHT NOW, you could join a kpop company.

Any one of them will accept you, but you are not guaranteed debut. You will be like any other trainee. If you leave that one company or get kicked out, you are like anybody else too, no guarantees of being accepted at another one.

Which company do you choose? If any?

I personally would go for SM.
It will be tough work, but I feel like the standard of teaching they have is smth I would like.
Not to mention if I do fail to debut at SM, I will still have gotten lessons I would not have otherwise gotten.

TS so I can find those who are abusing TRCNG and Sonamoo and the ones who abused BAP and Secret and I can do to them what they did to those groups :sj_weary:

I hate every single Big 3 for their own unique reasons.
Maybe SouMu now that they have that Big Hit coin flowing through.
MMM doesn't seem to be managed too poorly.

I would say SM because they appear to train their idols well. The idols are very professional, and in games that they're supposed to fail to be funny, they are good at. For example, the rollercoaster challenge and the tray dance challenge were passed almost flawlessly for NCT. The foreign members learn Korean, and it seems that SM is quite helpful to their foreign members in learning Korean. I know some Korean, so I assume my situation would be similar to Johnny and Mark. If I don't debut I'm sure I will have learned some skills I wouldn't have known before.

If not SM I would say JYP. It's not because I stan some JYP groups, lol. I think their music is good, and the idols seem to do well even if they're not as famous. I wouldn't say I know JYP very well, as I just stan the groups and don't really pay attention to the company, but they don't seem like a mean company. I like the dance practice room too lmao its a very nice looking room.

I am a little old to debut I think, as I am not very musically inclined and only have a little knowledge of dance. It would take me years to properly train, I believe. I am 21 and rapidly approaching 22. Johnny trained for nine years and debuted at 21, and if I trained for the same amount, I would be 30/31. I suppose If I picked up dancing/singing/rapping quickly my debut would be sped up, but it would still take years. SM and JYP trainees take different amounts of time to debut, but I suppose I would be around 25-26 at the youngest. I'm sure I could debut in JYP if age was a big issue, as Park Joonhyung debuted at 30.

Actually with SM it is really a toss up how long you will train. Johnny's 9 years are an anomaly and I really doubt they would hold onto a trainee who they aren't gonna debut for that long. I imagine if they think a trainee doesn't have any debut potential they will let them go within 2 years. There is no reason to spend money on someone who they can't see ever debuting!

There are also some idols in SM who have only trained for a few months or a year. SO if you work hard and SM sees something in ya... you could make it!

or SM purely because I generally like the company's musical direction and because they seem to train their idols well.

Yeah, I really wouldn't want to be a trainee for 9 years either as my persistence is about 2%. If I worked hard I probably could but working hard is about 54% of me so that's also pretty low lmao. Johnny's 9 years was such a shock to me when I started stanning. Seulgi and Yoona did debut after 7 years and Suho took 6.5 years so maybe if I really really tried haha.
