I really wish K-pop idols would release songs before and after the album. The one title + one album/EP is just strange.I guess bts are going for more of a western approach to this album by releasing singles before the actual album comes out. It’s smart and I’m sure their fans will enjoy the early releases.
Same, I think it would be a smart promotional tactic and it would allow kpop artists to promote longer and keep the fans satisfied.I really wish K-pop idols would release songs before and after the album. The one title + one album/EP is just strange.
Non idols in Korea still do that, they probably do less physical promotion but they stay relevant all year round. Idols use to do that but stopped around 2009-2011, YGE did it until 3-4 years ago.Same, I think it would be a smart promotional tactic and it would allow kpop artists to promote longer and keep the fans satisfied.
Yeah yge did with the made album by Big Bang, and honestly it was smart because the majority of the songs on the album were hits. All companies should start adapting this method again, it would seriously benefit kpop groups popularity.Non idols in Korea still do that, they probably do less physical promotion but they stay relevant all year round. It would also boost album sales and be great PR to have a good number of songs be hits. Hopefully if/when BP has a album YGE does this.Yeah yge did with the made album by Big Bang, and honestly it was smart because the majority of the songs on the album were hits.
