I love "Bad Boy" as much as the next stan, but it is not the holy grail of Red Velvet title tracks (1 Viewer)

Idky people keep getting mad when they're trying to move away from the Bad Boy sound, I'm sure it must be annoying to them when they read criticism about their title tracks not being Bad Boy 2.0

I mean Psycho was probably recorded for the Bad Boy Stans.

Also unpopular opinion I love "Zimzalabim" I love how crazy it sounds.

Red Velvet is not all just about Bad Boy. I love that they don't just stick with their Bad Boy sound.

Plus imo that sound is very generic and Westernized. I prefer their more wacky sound like Rookie, Zimzalabim.

Bad Boy has no personality to it, it could be sung by any girl group on SM.

bad boy is a great song imo, same with psycho. do i consider them the best rv songs? no, but idc if someone else does because to each their own. i understand that it's annoying when people complain about them moving away from their previous sound, but then again people also get mad at groups which keep the same sound for a longer time so it seems like you can't satisfy everyone at once. while we're at it, to me red velvet's side tracks are so much better than their title tracks. especially body talk

When Bad Boy came out I was just starstruck. Sure it isn't exactly a unique concept but I feel like it was executed to almost perfection, but I don't want a Bad Boy 2.0, I don't feel like Psycho was particularly aiming for that either. RBB irks me tho, just bc of the RBB part, it isn't anything like Bad Boy but the fact that it's meant to be like a part two is slightly annoying, I think I would have liked it a LOT more if it was called something else and they said anything other than really bad boy in the song >.>

Red is hard i hate to pick happiness but is is my fave emotionally. rookie is amazing so many fun beats.

Bad Boy for me is middle tier. But I don't rly like Zimzalabim or Rookie.. For me Red Velvet's top tracks are Russian Roulette and Peek-A-Boo. Though I do like oldie like Ice Cream Cake and summer jam like Red Flavor as well.

edit: Just to give context for why I put off listening to Ice Cream Cake--There was this f**** commercial when I was in my teens that would play ad nauseum that my nephew would torture me with, because he was a sociopath... I have post traumatic ice cream cake stress syndrome from that commercial 😅 ... So thats basically it. Its petty, I know.

For whatever reason, I always forget to consider OOTN as a concept like Automatic or PAB. Maybe because it's so different from the rest.
I do think it's RV's best song overall and one of the best kballads I've ever heard

Honestly I'm one of the rare Int fans that never got the Bad Boy hype. I mean, it's a good song but it wasn't better than the rest of their discography by any means.

In my opinion, Russian Roulette, Peek-A-Boo and Psycho and Rookie are all better.
