Tanjirou/Mob was a toss up, atleast Mob Psycho won best animation, Demon Slayer had a strong claim to it too.
And yeah I literally haven't seen much of Raphtalia anywhere at all, while Chika and Nezuko are everywhere. But Chika dance rightful winner I lost count of the number of times someone uploaded it on YouTube, got a ton of views and then the video got taken down by copyright

At one point, you'd find actual girls covering it more than the OG version, as if real girls are better than my 2D waifus

True, Mob managed to stop the DS sweep at least there xd And I'm happy about Mob getting both animation and opening, I voted Mob for both of them so that's a win in my books.

Raphtalia fans were definitely MIA, but they have been crawling from their hideouts since the win. I have seen lot of dedicated Raphtalia fans now celebrating the win xd Tbh, I didn't care about best girl category this year, voted for Emma but no way she was going to win. So I was just surprised it was Raphtalia, together with Isabela winning over Askeladd most surprising winners.

Nobody can stop the Chika Dance. But it's rly annoying how there isn't just official channel that would upload it. I think openings and endings aren't usually taken down so often anymore, thanks to official channels like Crunchyroll's and Funimations uploading them too. But i guess most loved ending of the year doesn't get that.

Really good this year, I'm rly happy with it overall. Though there is some complains as always, in general lot of people rly disliked Demon Slayer winning Anime of the Year and not Vinland Saga. I'm happy with DS winning, would been my third pick but that's more than Vinland Saga would been. Besides DS was the IT series this year that everyone knows of.

As someone who started reading Vinland Saga in the early 2000s, and as someone who loves the hell out of it, Demon Slayer is a frickin boss in its own right. Tough battle, and I would've been happy either way, though, lol. And yeah, the popularity of DS>>>VS, because VS would not be an easy watch for everyone. I haven't started watching the anime, but I'm well familiar with the manga. Hell, I was surprised I liked it because I typically hate stuff from that time period, so. Yeah. Lol. I feel like the issue that many have with Demon Slayer winning is because it became so popular. It even won Animation of the Decade at Funimations awards which made people become pretty salty towards DS and think whole show is overrated. But even if something is popular or even overrated doesn't mean it's bad, it can still be awesome show and worth of praise. So I think lot of anime community forgot how good the DS actually was.

I found Vinland Saga overall good show due to it's great story and some awesome sceneries, but I also found characters pretty unlikeable so far and their thoughts and decisions frustrating. So I don't really count it even in my top 5 of the year, it's probably 6th place though xd

Ye i finished it pretty quickly, the ending itself was good, still hate Thorfinn tho The story is what keeps it going, now that he can't get revenge anymore... He might finally become a likeable character.

Ending episode was rly good, totally didn't see that ending coming. I'm not rly sure if the series will become more interesting from here though since none of the characters are quite strong enough for me. Maybe Thorfinn will become likeable, but I feel like that journey will still be long for him xd
