True. With Loona, all the prep work is done already. What they need, and where BBC fails at, is keeping a consistent release schedule, ensuring enough album stocks are available and just general visibility in Korea.

With LSM investment and more importantly, connections- it could potentially open a lot of doors and get more eyes on them. If this does happen it's good news for the fans and the girls imo.

But he has or had Oh GG and fx who were/ are arguably more wasted than even loona.

Meanwhile SM is doing the bare minimum on the groop they can actually earn money from - Red Velvet.

He earnt the least profit among the big three last year, looks like he's lookin for a rerun this year. Fab.

Here's certified ways to minimize your company profit, for anybody who's interested.

1. Start a boy groop with endless number of members & divide em into infinite number of sub units. On top of confusing the stans which will lead to poor outcomes during comebacks, the sheer cost of managing dat many artists will easily push the company towards bankruptcy.

2. Collect haphazard members from each of your has-been groops & form a groop. Blow up millions of dollars on a fancy mv carrying a terrible song, on getting them on American talk shows, 'sold out' tours that barely break even cus most sections of the arenas are closed & bundles to land on BB hot 100. Within months you are guaranteed to find yourself knee deep in debt.

3. Buy a girl groop that barely sell 25k albums, despite having the most expensive debut of all time. Also be sure to not restock the album of your successful girl groop in demand with a viral hit song. A sure-fire way to find yourself on the verge of loosing your company within a year

I wouldn't worry about SuperM considering that their promotions are mostly handled by Capitol Records, not SM so if it's not working out it isnt really on them.
People who don't like NCTs concept were never going to be fans to begin with, they just like to complain. Its very simple. Are you sure SM earned the least profit? In the first half of 2019 maybe but after Exos comeback I find that hard to believe.
Red Velvet isn't SMs biggest seller. Despite that Red Velvet had more comebacks than any other SM group with the exception of NCT, which is a different case because it was different subunits coming back. If they wanted to maximize their profit they should have given Exo multiple comebacks but they didn't so obviously there was more going on than just that.
That being said I have no idea what would be going on with Loona, LSM clearly sees something in them considering hes already producing a song for them but I dont necessarily know what.

Well atleast Loona are the new thing so maybe he won't lose interest that fast lol.

And apparently he's making a personal investment, not on behalf of SM Entertainment so hopefully he'll be more careful with them. Most importantly though, it can't be worse than what BBC currently does with them so anything is better.

Makes me really doubt smngg as that was supposed to be his big ongoing project for SM.
We know the lady in charge is not a gg fan..
In Loonas case i think Abs has a point their structure seems to suck. Pouring more money into that without control and significant changes seems unwise.
Look i have killed pledis and will continue to do so but they at least thru the shell company know what to do with IZONE, although it looks like they are a bit lost with Fromis_9

Yeah the whole SMNGG mess might be another reason to go with Loona, or atleast might play a part. The 3 most hyped trainees Yiyang, Lami and Koeun are no longer there so.

Tbh it's still unclear how much he'll be involved with Loona, it might even be just limited to song production like he did with So What, but even his name being attached brings publicity, and as long as there's more than 1 cb a year, it's already a better situation than Blockberry.

The subunits thing is true, but Loona subunits have a much better world building than NCT and fixed members, plus it looks like they'll only promote as full group now, so they won't have rotational lineup atleast.
