I am Psychotic
Someone hide the knives
I have broken out in hives again
over anxiousness and brain disease
at ease, when I am alone
broken when I am together
my enemies are invisible
my dreams are fantastical
seems less painful than before
who am I kidding
I do their every bidding
I seek sanctuary
I seek solitude
needle in my eyes
can't even bring myself to cry
psychotic
anxious
insane
someone hide the knives
I have broken out in hives again
My life is sin
my heart only knows the trash bin
break you down to particles
grind you down to the brink
my thoughts turn to stone
at ease when I am alone

It got a terrible write up, but I don't trust critics as far as I can throw them lol
I could never do a job that degrades myself, just for a paycheck. : /

I think art-criticism in general has sort of gone downhill and is in a really sad state now, but it is an art itself, IMO. Still, I agree. I wouldn't want to be a critic in this kind of environment. Eek.

I can relate to most of their songs on the album catharsis and the lyrics are interesting.
I honestly think its their best work to date. And a lot of the hate is ignorance and unsupportive of machine heads ideas.
I am really glad I got it when I did. What a great surprise. :)

It's not like the blackening was, but that is so many years ago now lol. the comparison almost doesn't exist.

Oh I trailed off a bit there ^^; but psychosis in general is a stigma still induced condition.
a lot of folks don't get it or fail to understand it aka my parents.

But I am worth my weight in gold, just like my ideas for writing.

Oh, definitely. So it's not just the album, but the subject matter, that critics are bashing. Yeah, that sucks :(
