I honestly don't understand why so many people hate this trend. I absolutely love it, it's actually what's keeping me in KPOP.

I can stomach more edm drops but I am so over this yell-singing trend.​

every song is different. I do agree that this style ( and some others) have been overused. does't change the fact that especially So What has been on my mind since release or that I have been obsessed with dun dun.

Yeah, everyone has a different taste. But I've seen this opinion quite a bit over the past year or two. It's one of my favorite styles, I honestly don't see it getting old to my ears.

I liked Wonderland and Double Knot. I didn't like Adios. Psycho is really good though give me more psycho. I think that while it can be overused, in some songs it can sound better than no edm noise drops or whatever you call it.

Bang Bang Bang started the EDM drop craze in Kpop and now you see it everywhere.
Doesn't mean I hate it, some songs use it really well. And some just become lazy and rely on a half assed drop to carry the whole song.

I love So What coz you have a lot of small things going on and they get better the more you listen to it. It gives the song really good staying power. Adios, KTL and Dun dun on the other hand are pretty basic drops, which are catchy but get old really fast.

i don't think it's that bad, it's just overused to the point where it gets easily boring. there are some songs where i think it's done well like bang bang bang by bigbang or so what by loona.

I only like these kind of drops if they serve some purpose to the song and if they are well-produced. A drop made just for there to be a drop in a song does not have any purpose, and will most often sound generic. Songs like So What, as other users mentioned earlier, have a good build-up and are produced well enough to make the drop more exciting. This is not true with all drops in K-pop, however, so many of them do not deliver this kind of effect.
