They were supposed to debut a new boy group last year but that got delayed presumably because of the legal battle with Lai Kuanlin. They've deleted four of their male trainees from their CUBE TREE Instagram account, meaning that they have left the company which is kind of a big deal considering that a debut was supposed to be happening and they were obviously in the running to make the lineup since CUBE decided to reveal them to the public. This means either the trainees left once the 2019 debut got cancelled or CUBE has already decided on the lineup and these guys just didn't make it which would be shocking considering that one of the trainees that left is someone that they sent on the survival show, Under Nineteen.

Now, they still have Yoo Seonho from Produce 101 season 2 and their is still two other dudes on of CUBE TREE Instagram account as well as Jang Yunseo from YG Treasure Box who has joined the company.

So here are the current contenders:

But recently, there have also been rumours of a new GIRL GROUP from CUBE also which seem to be a little silly when you think that it's barely been 2 years since (G)I-DLE debuted but they DO have two popular female trainees and recently, they uploaded pictures of two new girls on the CUBE TREE Insta so here are the potential girls:

TBH, I don't think that Cube can pull off cute girl groups, they have a certain type of girl that they typically cast and it's more of the cool, girl crush type than anything else. I think they can do a group with a different concept to (G)I-DLE but I think going full on cutesy is a bad idea...

TBH, I think that's what hurt Pentagon more than anything else, losing a member is one thing but I think the triple whammy is really what killed them.

Maybe Im biased but I don’t see the point of debuting a new gg anytime soon. Tbh even (G)I-DLE’s debut was too soon.
